Methods: C and B may lead to HCC (hepatocellular carcinoma), such cause 50% responsible for 70 80 % cases HCC. Obesity, alcohol type 2 diabetes are also a predisposing factor malignant tumor, have low survival rate due reoccurrence. Results: Eighty two patients were selected This cross-sectional study was conducted at Allied Hospital Faisalabad. Ultrasound machine Toshiba used transducer frequency 3-6MHz liver scanning. 82 B, C, included in this study. Out patients, 55 male 27 female. The mean age 55yrs. Hepatitis C and hepatitis B in the etiology of hepatocellular carcinoma in the Japanese population.

We conducted case-control studies of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and liver cirrhosis (LC) in relation to hepatitis C virus (HCV) and hepatitis B virus infection, involving 91 patients with HCC, 75 patients with LC who had no evidence of HCC, and 410 control subjects from the Japanese population. Serum antibody to HCV (anti-HCV) was detected by both enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and recom...

[Hepatocellular carcinoma and hepatitis B virus].

Chronic hepatitis B is the most common cause of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in Asia. Integration of hepatitis B virus (HBV) genome is likely an early event of carcinogenesis. The integrated HBV genome may activate neighboring cellular genes directly to offer a selective growth advantage to the liver cells. Production of hepatitis B X protein can act as a transactivator on various cellular ge...

Hepatitis C Virus and Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Hepatocellular carcinoma in woodchuck were characterized for woodchuck hepatitis virus integration nea c-myc oncogene. In one tumor, viral integration resulted in overexpression of a c-myc viral cotranscript. In a second tumor, viral insertion, 600 bp upstream of c-myc exon 1, was associated with increased levels of normal c-myc mRNA. These results demonstrate that integration of woodchuck hepa...

Epidemiology of Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) Related Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Introduction Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most prevalent primary malignant tumors and accounts for about 90% of all primary liver cancers. Its distribution varies greatly according to geographic location and it is more common in middle and low- income countries than in developed ones especially in Eastern Asia and Sub Saharan Africa (70% of all new HCCs worldwide), with incidenc...

Comparison of proteome between hepatitis B virus- and hepatitis C virus-associated hepatocellular carcinoma.

PURPOSE Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most common malignant cancers closely associated with chronic infection by the hepatitis B virus (HBV) or the hepatitis C virus (HCV) throughout the world. Differential expression of the proteome in HBV- and HCV-associated HCC was investigated to identify any useful biomarkers indicating virus-specific hepatocarcinogenesis. EXPERIMENTAL DES...
